The Suites in Duluth has a unique, historical charm and is great for families with spacious accommodations. However, the recent decline in cleanliness and service due to staffing issues has been disappointing. While the local atmosphere and amenities are fantastic, the overall experience wasn't as good as it used to be.

Rooms
8.0
The 3-bedroom suite we stayed in was incredibly spacious and had fantastic amenities like a full kitchen and hot tub. It felt more than I expected. However, some family members mentioned that their rooms in the middle of the building lacked windows, which was a downside.
Service
5.0
The service was lacking, mainly due to staffing shortages. While the receptionists were cordial, they often repeated themselves about the lack of cleaning service and we were expected to manage some tasks on our own during our stay.
Location
9.0
The location is fantastic, being right in Canal Park, close to restaurants and attractions. This made our visit enjoyable, especially with the nearby Bentleyville event.
Dining
5.0
The breakfast was adequate but didn't have much variety. It was edible but nothing special; the selection left something to be desired.
Facilities
8.0
The pool and hot tub area were nice and clean, which we appreciated. It was a wonderful spot for the family to unwind.

5.8/10

My recent stay at this hotel was quite disappointing, especially given its prime location. While the spaciousness of the rooms was appreciated, they felt outdated and did not meet the expectations set by the price. The service varied—some staff were friendly, but others were rude. The dining options were lacking, and the pool was actually enjoyable, which was a rare highlight.

Rooms
5.0
The rooms seemed clean but were really outdated and felt like a dilapidated college dorm. The air conditioning was blasting when we entered, making it freezing cold.
Service
6.0
Hotel staff had mixed interactions; some were very friendly and accommodating, while others seemed rude and dismissive.
Location
9.0
The hotel's location near Canal Park is fantastic, making it easy to walk to various attractions and dining options, providing ample opportunity for exploration.
Dining
5.0
Dining was quite lackluster with dry baked goods and poorly prepared items that just didn’t hit the mark.
Facilities
7.0
The pool area was a highlight—clean and enjoyable, especially for families. However, the hotel seems to be understaffed for maintenance.

6.2/10

My stay at the hotel had its ups and downs. While the location near Canal Park was super convenient and the historical vibe of the building was unique, my experience was marred by cleanliness issues and poor housekeeping. The room I was initially given was not up to par, and despite being in a great spot, the overall ambiance felt neglected. If the management can improve the upkeep, it could be a great place to stay.

Rooms
5.0
The room was large and included a small kitchenette, but it definitely needed better upkeep as there were visible signs of neglect.
Service
5.0
The service was hit or miss, with some staff being helpful, but ultimately my experience with housekeeping was disappointing.
Location
9.0
The hotel is situated in a fantastic location just a few blocks from Canal Park, making it easy to explore the area.
Dining
6.0
The breakfast offerings were decent, but nothing exceptional.
Facilities
7.0
While the pool area was clean, the overall facilities could use some love to match the potential of this historic hotel.

I had a mixed experience at this hotel. While the unique atmosphere of the converted warehouse was interesting, cleanliness was an issue, and the staff's response to my concerns left something to be desired. The location was fantastic for exploring the nearby attractions, but be prepared for some cleanliness hiccups. Overall, it was a decent stay, yet there's room for improvement.

Rooms
6.0
The suite we had was spacious and well laid out, which was great for our family. However, we did find it dirty upon arrival, requiring us to clean before feeling comfortable.
Service
5.0
I found the staff responsive when I raised concerns, although the manager's demeanor felt a bit off. There was a lack of genuine concern for the cleanliness issues I pointed out.

The complimentary breakfast was quite impressive, with a good variety of options, including hot items, fresh fruit, and interesting choices like breakfast burritos.
Facilities

The pool area was nice and well-maintained, providing a fun spot for families to enjoy time together. The presence of a brewery on-site added a unique twist!

The hotel is located in a lively area, making it easy to get to nearby attractions, but the experience was marred by thin walls and noise from parties that kept us awake. The rooms were clean but outdated with some odd layouts, and the breakfast left much to be desired. While the pool area was definitely a highlight, the service and overall value didn't quite live up to expectations.

Rooms

The rooms were clean but had strange layouts and were outdated, lacking windows in our suite.
Service

The service was friendly but overwhelmed, with delays in housekeeping that left many rooms without proper care.
